How to nominate podcast guests that hosts will care about
A useful nomination is specific, timely, and easy for a host to imagine as an episode. The goal is not to post a name and hope. The goal is to build a case the audience can rally around.
Step 1
Pick the right show. Look for a podcast where the guest is credible, relevant, and timely for the host's audience.
Step 2
State the case clearly. Explain why the guest matters now and what conversation the audience would actually want.
Step 3
Add topics and questions. Strong nominations are easier to act on when the host can already see the episode angle.
Step 4
Rally support. Share the nomination so the host sees that the idea has real listener demand behind it.
What strong nominations include
- A guest whose expertise matches the host's audience.
- A clear why-now angle instead of a generic celebrity ask.
- Topic ideas, questions, or friction points that would make the episode worth hearing.
- Visible support from other listeners once the nomination is shared.
